1. Pipe Major Nat Russell OAM - World Champion Pipe Major of Victoria Police Pipe Band, 1998. Master of Ensemble.
3. Leading Drummer Barry Wilson - Four Time World Solo Drumming Champion, and Leading Drummer of The Scottish Power Pipe Band. Former member of the Shotts and Dykehead Caledonia Drum Corps that won 11 Worlds in a row. Barry is an Andante Percussion ambassador. 5. Drum Major Paula Braiden - the current Adult World Drum Major Champion. Paula hails from Northern Ireland and has won a plethora of Major Championships. 7. Jim McGillivray - piping enthusiast and performer. Gold Medal winner at Oban and Inverness. Clasp winner at the Northern Meeting. Founder of the famous piping website, pipetunes.ca. 9. Greg Wilson - one of New Zealand's finest bagpipers and performers. Greg is a prolific solo piper having won Gold Medals at Inverness and the Argyllshire Gathering, not to mention countless other titles including the Clasp at the Northern Meeting on three occasions. 11. Leading Drummer Keith Orr - World Champion lead tip of the legendary Field Marshal Montgomery Pipe Band. Keith is one of the most successful leading drummers of his time. A Premier Percussion ambassador and the director of Keith Orr Percussion. 13. Scott Currie - one of the World's most decorated pipe band bass and tenor drummers having won 15 World Championships, nine of which were successive drum corps World titles with Shotts and Dykehead Caledonia. Scott Currie Percussion is a world-leading pipe band drumming retail outlet. Scott is the Bass Drummer of Shotts and Dykehead Caledonia Pipe Band. 15. Scott Birrell - originally from Scotland, now living in the Antipodes and leading drummer of the Hawthorn City Pipe Band in Melbourne. Scott was a member of the World Drum Corps Champions, Boghall and Bathgate when they lifted the title in 2012. Owner of Scott Birrell Percussion. 17. Glenn Higgins - two-time World Champion tenor drummer with the Field Marshal Montgomery Pipe Band. Glenn is a modest and humble character but possesses an incredible competitive edge. 19. Pipe Major Ian Lyons - three-time world champion with the Victoria Police Pipe Band and Field Marshal Montgomery. Ian leads the City of Moorabbin band in Melbourne, Australia. Owner of Lyons Bagpipes Retail. 21. Chris Pollock - the heartbeat of the legendary Field Marshal Montgomery Pipe Band and four-time World Champion. Chris is a vital piece of the FMM ensemble package in his role as Bass drummer. A great champion, with a great story. 23. Alisdair McLaren - three-time World Champion and a current piper in the Field Marshal Montgomery Pipe Band. Alisdair grew up in Western Australia, but now lives in Glasgow and is the director of the National Youth Pipe Band of Scotland. 25. Fiona Kilpatrick (nee Cruiclshank) - two-time World Champion bagpiper and former member of the Shotts and Dykehead Caledonia Pipe Band. Fiona led the Deeside Ladies pipe band to huge successes. Co-owner of Jim Kilpatrick Percussion. 27. Blake Schmidt - eight time world champion and former member of the Simon Fraser University Pipe Band. One of the most decorated tenor drummers in the world and resides in Vancouver, Canada. 29. Blair "Buz" Brown - a former member of the SFU Pipe Band and winner of 5 World Pipe Band Championships and 2 World drum Corps Championships. 31. Pipe Major Robert Mathieson - One of the most prolific Pipe Majors of our era. A highly acclaimed composer. Multiple-time World Champion. Robert is a living legend. 33. Leading Drummer Gary Corkin - from Northern Ireland, Gary was a member of the late Bobby Rea's RUC drum corps. Gary later went on to take over the RUC drum corps and created one of the world's " supercorps' "- culminating in winning the World Drum Corps Championship in 2000. 35. Drum Major Brian Wilson MBE - one of Northern Ireland's greatest drum majors and an Adult World Champion Drum Major. 37. Murray Henderson - New Zealand-born and now residing in Kirriemuir. Murray is one of the worlds most prolific soloists having won every major prize on the solo piping circuit including four Glenfiddich titles. Owner of Strathmore Bagpipes. 39. Brian Swatilla - a two-time world champion bagpiper from New Zealand, a former member of the Field Marshal Montgomery Pipe Band. One of New Zealand's most decorated solo pipers and currently a piper with the Canterbury Caledonian Pipe Band. 41. Jim Kilpatrick MBE - the worlds most prolific pipe band drummer, composer and teacher. Jim is the epitome of excellence and shares his amazing story in Our Journey. |

4. Pipe Major Ryan Canning of Shotts and Dykehead Caledonia - Six Time World Champion and former member of Field Marhsal Montgomery Pipe Band. Renowned reedmaker. 6. John Scullion - legendary drummer and four time World Solo Drumming Champion. Former leading drummer of Shotts & Dykehead Caledonia and Scottish Power Pipe Band. Highly sought-after instructor and adjudicator. Author of The Fairly Together Programme. 8. Andre Tessier - Three-Time World Champion and the current leading drummer of the Dowco Triumph Street Pipe Band. Andre is a Premier Percussion Ambassador. 10. Craig 'Hoss' Colquhoun - three-time winner of the Best Bass Section award at the World Pipe Band Championships. A former member of the 78th Fraser Highlanders Pipe Band in Canada, and a member of the Spirit of Scotland Pipe Band. Hoss is a renowned innovator in the pipe band drumming world with his Hosbilt drumming products. 12. Faye Henderson - history's first ever female winner of the Highland Society of London Gold Medal at the Argyllshire Gathering in 2010. Faye is one of the youngest people to win the Gold medal, at just 18 years of age. Faye is the daughter of legendary piper, Murray Henderson. 14. Drum Major Jason Paguio - two-time Adult World Drum Major Champion. Drum Major for the Simon Fraser University Pipe Band. CEO of the Parade Band Foundation and the World Drum Major Association. 16. Tyler Fry - one of the worlds most prolific tenor drummers and six-time winner of the World Championships. Tyler is an inspirational individual that continues to set the pace musically and with his products through TyFry.com. 18. Adam Quinn - two-time World champion bagpiper with the Simon Fraser University Pipe Band. Founder of the celtic rock band, Lucid Druid. Composer of the Blue Cloud, Arran Campbell and The Big Picture. 20. Jori Chisholm - three-time World Champion bagpiper from Seattle who performs with Simon Fraser University Pipe Band. Tennille Beaumont - two-time World Champion and former member of the SFU pipe band. Tennille is an inspiration to female drummers throughout the world. 24. Pipe Major Richard Hawke MNZM - gold medallist and Pipe Major of the current New Zealand Champions, Canterbury Caledonian Pipe Band. Pipe Band Director of the St Andrews College Pipe Band in Christchurch. 26. Robert Holland - world champion snare drummer and former member of the Royal Ulster Constabulary Pipe Band. Robert spent his formative years in Northern Ireland and now lives in Vancouver, Canada. 28. Grant Maxwell - three time world drum corps champion, and two time world pipe band champion with the Simon Fraser University Pipe Band. 30. Niall Stewart - prolific soloist and member of the Canterbury Caledonian Pipe Band. Niall has won gold medals at the Northern Meeting and the Argyllshire gathering, not to mention many other prestigious solo events. 32. Megan Canning - hailing from California, Megan is an inspiration to female pipers throughout the World. Megan has won Four Grade 1 World Championships with Field Marshal Montgomery Pipe Band. Megan currently plays in the Shotts and Dykehead Caledonia Pipe Band. 34. Euan MacCrimmon - a direct descendant of the famous MacCrimmon bloodline. A prolific soloist having won the Gold Medal at the Argyllshire gathering and the Northern meeting. Currently playing with the New Zealand Champion band, Canterbury Caledonian. 36. Gordon Lee - one the world's best pipe band drummers having featured consistently in the Top 12 of the World Solos for many years. A two-time World Champion and two-time World drum corps champion, currently playing with the SFU pipe band. 38. Pipe Sergeant Jack Lee - Gold medallist, Clasp winner, Glenfiddich champion and six-time World Champion with the Simon Fraser University Pipe Band. Jack is one of the world's most decorated bagpipers and highly sought after tutors. Jack owns leesandsonsbagpipes.com. 40. Callum Beaumont - Gold medallist, Clasp winner and more recently the winner of the coveted Silver chanter. A young piper with a huge talent. World champion and former member of Simon Fraser University Pipe Band and Shotts & Dykehead Caledonia pipe band. 42. Arran Campbell - the inspiration for Our Journey. Arran was a World Champion with the SFU pipe band at the age of 13 years old. He went on to win two more World Pipe Band Championships before his untimely passing at the age of 18. Arran has influenced and impacted so many people throughout the World and it is wonderful to share his legacy in the book. |
